The purpose of the
North Carolina Pre-Kindergarten (NCPK) Program is to provide quality
educational experiences in order to enhance kindergarten
readiness for four-year-olds who are considered to be at-risk
for school
failure. The program is community-based, voluntary, free to
participants, and designed to prepare at-risk four-year-olds
in North Carolina for success in school.
Catawba County currently has over 280 NCPK slots, housed in
both public schools and at the Tyndall Center at Sipe’s
Orchard Home. For more information, or to get an application,
