Educational Campaigns

The Children’s Protection Council is committed to educating our community about the problems of child abuse and neglect. In order to do this, we have created a Speaker’s Bureau, with experts in various fields. Presentations can be made to civic groups, organizations, church classes, etc., in many mission-related topics. The following educational campaigns have been developed by the Children's Protection Council. Join Us!

Join Us! You are invited to attend the Children’s Protection Council meetings that are held on the 1st Tuesday of each month at the Children’s Advocacy Center in Conover. Annual membership fees are $10 for an individual and $20 for a business. (Members automatically become members of Prevent Child Abuse - North Carolina.) Please call 828-465-9297 for more information. You can also join us in our work to prevent child abuse and neglect by making a financial contribution to the CPC or to the Erlene Sigmon Fund. Checks can be made to the Children’s Protection Council and sent to P.O. Box 1415, Hickory, NC 28603. Please indicate if your check is for a membership, for a donation to the CPC, or for a donation to the Erlene Sigmon Fund. Thank you for your support!
